  • Well it's not really a review. I was shopping around for an older blued Bobcat because I don't like the finish on new ones. Eventually I ran across this. I don't normally like shiny guns but this one appealed to me, it was in good shape and the price was right. Everything on the gun is tight. It does not seem to have been used or carried much if at all. I really like the way this gun looks and after polishing the barrel and slide I decided not the shoot it. I don't normally do this with guns but I have plenty of other .22s to shoot. My wife and I both decided it would look nice in a display case.

I didn't think disassembly could get easier than my Glock and Sig P220/239 pistols. The Bobcat is at least as simple, maybe a little more so.

This is a closeup photo to show the finish. I believe the pistol is chromed. There is a tiny spot along the front band just a little above the blade where the finish chipped. I think I can see copper under there which I believe is used to plate steel with chrome.

I bought a cheap shadow box, a piece of felt and some polyester filling at Michaels hobby store for about $12 total. I was going to buy a display case but only found ones for around $50. This took 15 minutes to put together and it's not going in a museum, just my desk.
