I love .22LR pistols and have wanted a S&W Model 41 for about 10 years. I was introduced to them in college while I was a member of the pistol club. We had Browning Buckmarks, Rugers MKII's and the S&W 41's. We didn't have many of the Smiths but everyone wanted to shoot them. They were by far the most accurate. I found this one new in a local shop and traded in a Sig Sauer P220 Equinox and S&W 442 for it. I could not shoot the 442 well and I just can't afford .45ACP ammo now, or .38SPL for that matter. I doubt I will regret it.

My Model 41 as I bought it new with the 7 inch barrel installed.

Though all people may not agree, I think the Model 41 is a great-looking pistol. It's got a classicly aesthetic look with the deep blue color and walnut stocks.

I got this 5.5 inch barrel on Gunbroker.com for $20. I shoot the pistol mostly with this barrel.
