I surprised this raccoon as it scoured a garbage can outside my dorm room.
 
It got into the garbage can by knocking over the butt can, which alerted me to its prescence.
 
This raccoon surprised me outside my dorm room by stealing my breakfast; may be the same one.

This is a killdeer bird. They nest on the ground then feign injury if a threat approaches the nest. After luring the predator away, they return to the nest. That's Cookie staring at it; the bird absolutely tortured her.

Newly hatched killdeer chick next to an unhatched egg. There were four eggs total and they all hatched within two days of each other.
